Capsis Astoria Heraklion offers 131 rooms and suites, all distinguished for their comfort, luxury, elegance and superior taste. All rooms are artfully complemented by black and white photographs depicting the long history of Heraklion, an attempt to show the rich cultural heritage of our city.
She lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. She is painting for many years and she was trained alongside with great artists. Her first solo exhibition was in 2010. Since then, she is presenting her work through individual and solo exhibitions in Greece. Her works are in private collections in Greece and abroad.
She lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. Her connection with art is like a multi-colored journey through a comprehensive study of the art of painting by the great painters George Th. Georgiadis and Manolis Apostolakis. She has participated in many individual and group exhibitions in Crete and Athens. Her creations can be found in private collections in Greece and abroad.
She was born in Athens and lives in Heraklion Crete. She started painting at a very young age in the workshop of Azariah Madanian and Aphrodite Daskalaki. In 1992 she entered the Theological School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she graduated in 1999, while studying the visual arts. She participated in painting seminars with Greek and foreign teachers. She also studied for two years at the workshop of fine arts of Christos Tyrekidis (1993-1995) and has successfully participated in group exhibitions. In 1996 she gets her first iconography courses near the famous painter and teacher Manolis Stylianakis for a year. From 1998 to 2002 she attends the school of iconography and mosaic art of, Agios Titos Cathedral, next to important teachers like George Cheirakaki in hagiography, Manolis Saridakis in chromatology and Markos Ntoukakis in mosaic art and preserving works of art. Since then, she followed the path of Byzantine iconography and painting.
In 2002, she successfully participated in group exhibitions of Cretan new hagiographers throughout Crete exposing hagiography and mosaic art. She painted pictures for the churches in Crete and other places in Greece and abroad. She participated along with Greek and foreign artists in the first festival in honor of El Greco that was held in his home sponsored by the municipality of Malevizi.
The last years she is working on the “healing painting” with her own original method. In June 2014 she successfully held her first solo exhibition in Capsis Astoria Heraklion, entitled "Primary Healing Paint and Byzantine hagiography" exposing Byzantine iconography and painting in the same space. Her paintings were based on healing principles of the ancient Greek tragedy, modern psychology and theology and it is an original combination of herself.
She also graduated Byzantine music in 2006 and keeps it as a hobby.
He was born in Prophitis Hlias in Heraklion, one of the most historic villages of Crete. From a very early age, he remembers to be involved in all forms of art. As the years passed, he realized he was into painting, sculpture and artistic compositions. He is an autodidact in his journey in Art, always searching for new forms. He received his gift from his father, Nikolaos Stavrakakis, who was a self-taught lyre player, continuing the Cretan musical tradition. In the past, he had four solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions. Many of his creations are in private collections in Greece and abroad. He receives his inspiration from everything nature has to offer and uses modern methods and discoveries from his inner thoughts.
